Spring '18 Baby & Kids Fashion Trends
Fendi, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana ... we are dreaming (and we know it). BUT, if you're looking for an heirloom piece for your baby's wardrobe, these are splurge-worthy. You can find the shop links to all of these amazing pieces through our pinterest board here. (Images from Neiman Marcus, Dior's website)

Muted colors are actually fantastic wardrobe staples, like a house's foundation. This year we're really digging a more minimal/simple style, with eco-friendly fabrics and earthy tones. These well-made pieces are styles your baby will be able to wear multiple times and coordinate with just about anything. Lots of soft and breathable fabrics like linen, vintage/romantic looks that remind you of the late 30's and 40's. What's great about these: We love well-made handcrafted pieces with attention to detail. Some are pricier than others but consider it well-spent money. Totally worth it!
LOOKS WE LOVE FROM OUR SHOP: (Click on images for zoomed view/descriptions)
We are crazy about anything Rifle Paper Co. throws our way. Cotton + Steel has made our dreams come true! The fabrics are screenprinted in Japan and the quality and weight of the fabric is perfect, it drapes beautifully and moves along with your tot in a flowy way.
We have several rompers with their fabrics and we plan to add more prints from the Menagerie and Amalfi collections.
I think they are going to reprint their sold out Les Fleurs fabrics as well (fabrics might come as early as January from what I've heard), if so, keep an eye out for our Rosa Floral Pink romper (pictured on the right) because this is THE romper you want for spring. It's not only made with premium fabrics but the fit and beautiful print are superb.
My personal favorites (I feel like I'm bragging just by talking about these LOL!) are the Dreamy Spring ruffled romper, Sweet Mod romper and our Xochitl dress. When I designed these fabrics I took a different approach to each but you can see a common theme: happiness, flow, vibrancy. Prints that were made to match your baby's bubbly and fun personality, with a girly twist. We have fun new prints coming up for Spring 2018 but we'll include those in a different post. Prints from other designers we love for the season is ANYTHING Indy Bloom. Gosh, I can't even pick which print I like the most. If you are a shop owner yourself and haven't made anything with her fabrics, go to Spoonflower or Hawthorne threads (.com) and look her up because she's the queen of watercolor florals like no one I've seen recently. Her great eye for color combinations and the way she blends the tones are insanely good. Here's her Spoonflower profile so you can swoon with us.
For more romper styles and new additions visit our Etsy shop - sometimes we test the waters there before we add things to our site so make sure to check both. And that concludes our picks for 2018's early spring season. Let us know what you think! When you get a chance, check out our Instagram, we usually post there our newest additions to the shop and what's coming soon. Happy 2018! - Gina
